Volunteer with us
The Print Factory is a volunteer-run nonprofit space.
We are currently seeking volunteers to staff our storefront and volunteers who would like to help us with events and programming.
To sign up for a shift at the store, please click the link below to visit our Point App.
What do volunteers do?
-
We greet customers, which sometimes leads to wonderful conversations that might not happen otherwise depending on where we work or where we live.
-
We price book donations. We have a guide for pricing! So no worries if you don’t have any experience with this task.
-
We organize books by subject. Volunteers can spend some time getting to know the content of the books to be organized. Who knows, you might find a book or two for yourself!
-
We chat with other volunteers, which sometimes leads to future programming ideas built on the needs of the community.
-
If you are joining us for an opening shift, volunteers set up the coffee maker (which includes directions), turn on the lights, and post the “Open” flag outside, along with other tasks.
-
If you are joining us for a closing shift, volunteers clean the coffee maker, etc., turn off the lights, and remove the “Open” flag, along with other tasks.
-
For shifts where events will occur, volunteers organize seating for the event and return seating and tables back to their original configuration before closing.
